Ice is Nice Kids Fishing Derby

Join us for the annual Ice Is Nice Kids Fishing Derby, a fun winter fishing event for young anglers hosted by the Boothbay Region Fish & Game Association.

This family friendly event is open to kids under 16 and focuses on outdoor fun, learning, and community.

Date: Saturday, February 7, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Location: Boothbay Region Fish & Game on Wiley Pond
447 Dover Road, Boothbay, Maine

Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded for the three largest fish by overall length:

• First place: $100

• Second place: $50

• Third place: $25

Door prizes will also be awarded throughout the event.

Food

A free lunch will be provided for participants, including:

• Hot dogs

• Pizza

• Chips

• A drink
